WE ARE DUR
Our name comes from heartwood, a word used to name the heart of the trunk, its central part. We are the second generation of a family of carpenters who put their heart and soul into every board they make.
DUR was born from Carpintería Aguado, a family business founded in 1958 by Felix Aguado located in the Txomin neighborhood of San Sebastian. Our father, from a very early age, instilled in us the art of carpentry and everything related to woodworking. Our passion for the sea and for surfing led us to explore beyond traditional carpentry and enter the world of handcrafted wooden surfboards. After a process of work and specialization, we now focus exclusively on the creation of handcrafted wooden surfboards, focusing on the Longboard, Fish and Malibu models. Our curious and innovative spirit drives us to constantly try to improve, so we are in constant contact with surfers to meet their demands and maintain the quality that characterizes us as artisanal manufacturers of wooden surfboards.
