FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Do the boards require any special care?

Before entering the water, the valve must be closed and when leaving the water, it must be opened. During transport, especially at altitudes, the valve must be opened. This small but important action will help maintain the integrity of your hollow board, preventing trapped air from causing damage by expansion or contraction due to temperature or pressure.
Does the sun damage the boards?

We recommend not exposing your board to the sun unnecessarily and using a cover to protect it. UV rays degrade materials such as epoxy resin and surfboard varnishes, making the outer layer more fragile and brittle, which can cause surface cracks and weaken the overall structure of the board.
Does saltpetre damage the board?

Salt left behind after surfing can build up and over time affect boards by wearing down finishes or affecting mechanical components such as removable fins. To avoid the corrosive effects of salt, we recommend always washing boards with fresh water after use.
How should I store my board?

When storing a wooden board for an extended period of time it is advisable to remove the valve cap to prevent the internal pressure from varying with changes in temperature. This is especially important if the board is stored in an environment where temperatures can rise, such as a garage or car.
Can I customise the table?

Yes you can. We offer the possibility of customising the board with your own logo as long as it does not involve removing or modifying the Dur branding on the board.
